Happy fall! It’s my favorite season and not (only) for the pumpkin spice lattes—though I prefer homemade to the ‘Buck’s version.
Super simple PSL recipe:
To a small sauce pan over medium heat, add a mug’s worth of milk - or half-milk half-heavy cream, 2-3 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, as much sugar as you like (I use 1 teaspoon), a scoop of instant coffee granules (or 1/4 cup of strong brewed coffee), and a pinch each of your favorite spices (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, etc. - or if you have a pumpkin pie spice medley, use that.) Stir it, then bring to a low boil (about 3 to 5 minutes). Remove from heat and serve - topped with whipped cream and more cinnamon, if you’re partying hard.
